Information we collect
We collect your email address and phone number when you sign up. We also collect your city and deal preferences so we can send relevant alerts. We do not collect payment information directly — payments are processed by Stripe.
How we use your information
We use your email to create and manage your account. We use your phone number exclusively to send deal alert SMS messages that match your preferences. We never use your number for marketing beyond the alerts you signed up for.
SMS alerts
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS deal alerts from Rumor. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by disabling alerts in your account preferences.
Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with service providers (Supabase for database, Twilio for SMS, Stripe for payments) solely to operate the service.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing hello@rumorapp.com.
Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of Rumor after changes constitutes acceptance.
